Introduction to Japanese Rope Bondage

A Four-Week Course

Hours of Instruction
Tying Pairs
$ 150
Per Pair

This four-class series will give you all of the tools you need to start tying in the Japanese style of rope bondage (aka shibari or kinbaku).

Monday Evenings From 8-10PM

April's course is now full. Waitlist spaces are available.

Please enroll only if you can commit to attending all four sessions. The material is cumulative from session to session.

No previous rope experience is necessary. If you have already learned a significant amount of rope elsewhere, this course is likely not for you. All attendees must be 18 or older. You must have a government-issued ID verifying your age to be admitted.

You must attend this series with a partner. We ask that you work with the same partner and choose one role (tying or being tied) for the duration of the course. This class is limited to a total of 10 tying pairs.

We’ll cover safety, core techniques and concepts, and classic ties that you can use for play. This class will also help you build the skills to move on to the more advanced material taught in our monthly classes.

This course requires at least two lengths of medium-diameter bondage-grade natural-fiber rope, such as jute or hemp. We offer fully processed and conditioned premium 6mm Ogawa jute for purchase at a discounted price with your registration.
